Energyz Black, a growing community dedicated to advancing Black excellence and representation within the UK’s energy sector, is proud to announce the launch of the second cohort of the Energize Mentorship Club (EMC).

The EMC initiative is designed to connect experienced energy and sustainability professionals with emerging talents from ethnic minority backgrounds, providing tailored mentorship to promote professional development, leadership growth, and greater inclusion across the UK’s energy and sustainability sectors. This new cohort will support twelve mentees, equipping them with the knowledge, guidance, and tools required to excel in their careers through structured, one-on-one mentorship.

Key Highlights of the Energize Mentorship Club:

  • Empowering Black Professionals: The EMC is committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by Black professionals within the energy sector, fostering pathways toward success, leadership, and influence.
  • Tailored Mentorship: Participants are paired with mentors through a personalized matching process aligned with their career aspirations, ensuring each mentee receives relevant and impactful guidance.
  • Exclusive Networking Opportunities: Beyond mentorship, participants will have access to exclusive events, including the Leadership Q&A Series, where industry leaders share career insights and professional experiences.

Building on the success of the inaugural cohort—comprising nine mentees from diverse career paths across engineering, consulting, energy analysis, and management—the second cohort will run from October 2025 to October 2026. Over this 12-month period, mentors and mentees will engage collaboratively to foster skills development, leadership growth, and the identification of career opportunities that contribute to innovation and progress within the sector.

The EMC team will continue to play an active role in facilitating engagement and nurturing strong mentor-mentee relationships throughout the program. Energyz Black remains steadfast in its commitment to creating a more inclusive, equitable, and representative energy industry for future generations.
