As the year draws to a close, we at Energyz Black find ourselves looking back with immense gratitude. From the Co-Founders, Soore and Edwin, and the entire team, we want to wish our community a peaceful festive season and a prosperous New Year.
2025 has been a landmark year for representation, innovation, and career growth. Together, we are shifting the narrative of the UK energy sector. Here is a look at what we achieved together this year.

This year was defined by community growth and tangible impact. We are proud to share these highlights:
Technological Innovation: We launched Energyzer AI, the UK’s first GenAI career advisor specifically designed for energy and sustainability professionals.
700+ Members Strong: We officially crossed the 700-member milestone. This growth proves that our vision for a more diverse and inclusive energy sector resonates more deeply than ever.
Career Success Stories: We’ve helped over 20 members secure new roles this year. Our community members are now making waves at organizations like OVO, UKERC, Ashden, Local Energy, and the University of Derby.
Industry Recognition: Energyz Black received a “Highly Commendable” award in Diversity & Inclusion at the 2025 Energy Storage Awards, a testament to the collective work we are doing.
Driving Thought Leadership & Growth
Beyond the numbers, 2025 was about being in the room where decisions are made.
- Speaking & Engagement: We represented the community at over 10 major industry events and traveled to Brussels for the “Diversity in Women” event, laying the groundwork for our European expansion in 2026.
- The Energy Career Tour: We took our mission to the next generation, touring Loughborough, Cranfield, West London, and Derby universities to highlight the vast opportunities within the sector.
- Expert Guidance: We introduced our Advisory Board, consisting of three industry titans, and successfully launched our second Professional Track Mentorship cohort.
- Knowledge Sharing: From our Insight Reports (including the “Top 20 Black Women in UK Energy”) to over 10 technical webinars on Green Finance and AI, we’ve worked hard to keep you at the cutting edge of the industry.
