Energyz Black Appoints Taylor Mirkarimi and Lucy Preston to Advisory Board to Accelerate Industry Equity and Transition

The leading non profit championing Black excellence and representation in energy, Energyz Black, today welcomed two new board members.

Energyz Black, the leading non profit organisation dedicated to championing Black excellence and expanding representation across the energy sector, today announced the appointment of Taylor Mirkarimi and Lucy Preston to its Advisory Board for a two year term.

The appointments come at a pivotal time of growth and recognition for Energyz Black, following the organisation’s recent win for its standout Engagement Campaign Award by the British Renewable Awards, an accolade celebrating its high impact work uniting industry stakeholders, academic partners, and underrepresented talent. Mirkarimi and Preston join a distinguished Advisory Board, complementing existing board members Dr Maureen Paul (Senior Director & Global Principal at Jacobs, former Chief Economist at Ofgem), Ben Parsons (Partner & Head of Energy Practice at Oaklin), and Jinmi Macaulay (Senior Corporate Affairs Leader).

The addition of Mirkarimi and Preston brings a formidable combination of global diversity strategy and clean energy legal counsel:

    Ranked by The Legal 500, arbitration specialist Lucy Preston brings vital legal, commercial, and renewable energy expertise to guide Energyz Black’s partnerships and advocate for an equitable Net Zero transition.
